Tour - Day 4

Today, we woke up, said our goodbyes to Zach's aunt, and made our way to Connecticut. But before that, we decided to drive around downtown New York City just for the hey of it. It was definitely a stressful hour or so and I'm totally glad Zach was driving and not me.

We found 'Papaya Dog' and had an early lunch there. We all had interesting (but tasty) hot dogs and papaya drinks. We were able to get a parking space right in front of the place too, which was pretty neat.

Afterwards, we were able to find our way to the highway out of the city despite our confused GPS. We made it to New Haven, CT with time to spare. Rory from Able Anchors hosted a BBQ/show in the backyard of his apartment. It was filled with family and friends, and was freaking awesome, as most BBQ shows are. Cindy was even able to play a few songs after me. A friend of Rory's named Jacob played as well, followed by Able Anchors!

After the show, we stopped at a popular local pizza joint called Frank Pepe pizzeria. We ate good pizza with locally-made Foxon Park soda. Keeping things healthy, we drove to Ashley's to get some ice cream. We ate it while walking around the massive Yale campus. It was pretty neat.

Again, an awesome and successful day!

Tour - Day 3

I didn't write a blog for yesterday, so I decided to do two for today.

Yesterday we drove from Coatesville, PA to New York City! We met Zach's aunt in Queens and took a subway downtown to get some pizza. We ate at Ray's Pizza and it was really really good! We walked down to the South Street Seaport, passing the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges along the way.

After, we took a subway to Times Square and walked around a bit until we found the Rockerfeller building and took an elevator to the top! It was super awesome being able to see the city at night.

All in all, it was a successful New York City trip for sure!

Tour - Day 2

So today we woke up, drove to a shooting range, and shot guns! Rifles, pistols, revolvers. I got to shoot a magnum revolver that was pretty intimidating. I've never shot a gun before so there's another item checked off the bucket list!

After that, we got lunch from the only place on my mind when it comes to having lunch in Pennsylvania - Midway Hotdogs! They were amazing just like last year.

Since tonight was my first show, we drove to Philadelphia and hung out for a while until we found out the show was 21+ and Zach and Cindy couldn't stay. It was a bummer, but I met and played with some cool people, along with my friends in Able Anchors!

Tomorrow we're going to Valley Forge, PA and then NYC to hang out and do...something. I'm sure pizza and lots of pictures will be involved.

Awesome tour so far!

Tour - Day 1

We're in Coatesville, PA! The flight was nice for Cindy and I. We were stoked to see Zach and his grandparents for the first time in a while.

Before driving to Zach's grandparents house, we made a stop in Delaware to (1) be able to mark it off my list of visited states, and (2) so Zach's grandfather could buy a TV. Tax free!

After that, we came home and Cindy made a damn good dinner consisting of baked chicken, garlic mash potatoes and corn on the cob. She also made mini apple pies things called pumpkins. "Dinner For Schmucks" followed. It was...meh.

Tomorrow's events will include shooting (real) guns, driving around, taking pictures, eating cheesesteaks, and playing a show at The Fire with Able (freaking) Anchors!

Here are some visuals to help you...visualize what happened today:

Summer '10 EP

So it's 3 days until I embark on my tour with my friends Zach and Cindy. Cindy and I are flying up to PA to meet Zach and his grandparents Thursday, and needless to say, we're all stoked as hell!

Since I was not able to get all the songs on Love In My Jaws to where I wanted them in time, I've decided to put up some new songs for anyone who's interested in hearing them. You can listen to them HERE!

I'll have a 5 song EP with me on the tour. It will be those 4 songs plus another one. Hence 5 song EP!

I'm hoping to have LIMJ available in its entirety in September or October so be on the lookout! I'll be updating this thing, along with the Moor Hound Facebook and Myspace.

I'll be updating my blagg with pictures and words documenting my adventures in America and Canada. Check back if you care to see what's going on!

Thanks guys!

Rodeo Ruby Love!

This past week has been awesome! I'll summarize:

Saturday I got to play with my buddies in Rodeo Ruby Love from Indiana at Mojo Books and Music in Tampa along with Friends of Giants and the Grecian Urns. I was stoked to see the Rodeo dudes after almost a year since I saw them last in Indiana on my tour. They played mostly new songs and I enjoyed them thoroughly. They recently came out with a new full length called "This Is Why We Don't Have Nice Things" which is jammin' as haiiil. Seriously, listen to it and tell me you don't get at least one or two of the songs stuck in your head.

We stayed at Kurt's nice uncle's house and had our fill of pizza, Jerry Maguire, and hot tub. The next day, after hotdogs and veggie burgers, we drove to Sarasota to play a show at the Box Social with In Retrospect and John Daniel Was Here. Rodeo was received very well by my friends and other audience members. That night we drove back to my house and went to bed. We had to try and get some sleep for what we had planned the next day...

DISNEY!!! FOR FREE!!! Needless to say, it was a blast! Alex took plenty of pictures. After that we came home exhausted to my friend and roomate Cindy's spaghetti with meat balls. They were delicious as always!

The next day was a day off for the band, and so we order some gigantic pizzas from Lazy Moon and watched Wristcutters. After that some of us took advantage of $2 Tuesdays at our locoal bowling alley and knocked pins down with balls.

The next day (Wednesday) was Cindy's birthday! We all went out to eat and Cindy got some neato presents. After that we drove to the Cameo Theatre for our show with Rudy from The Knots. The people there were really nice. Actually most people at all the shows were super nice. Yay for nice people! We got back home and Cindy decided to make us pork chops, mac and cheese, and salad. We were all stoked for Dinner 2! Later that night I said my goodbyes to all the dudes because they had a show in Jax the next day. I left them a note confessing my romantic love for each one of them.

It's been an awesome week so far. Now I just have to get everything ready for the tour next week. I'm as nervous as I am excited!

And did I tell you? I won't have the full length done until probably Fall, so I will be selling EPs with 5 of my newest songs along with my old Enduring World EP and Land/Sea split. I'll put some new songs up on my Myspace and Bandcamp soon!

I know very few people will read this but thank you for reading! More updates soon!

shoomi goo

So, I've got some more dates booked for the tour and I'm winding down on recording. I'm hoping to have the full length done by the end of July. I'm super stoked on it!

I'm really lazy when it comes to blogs, as you can see.

Summer 2010

I thought creating a blogspot would would work just as well as an actual website. So, here it is!

This summer is going to be a fun one. I'm going to be releasing my first full length and I'm currently booking a tour that will take me (and some friends) throughout New England, part of Canada, the midwest, and the east coast. I'm super excited for both.

I'm hoping to have the full length done by August, and I'll be putting it up on my Bandcamp for pay what you want/free when it's all done. I'll also have physical copies available for anyone who wants one.

Stay tuned for more updates in the future!
